Jesse Hall
President & Founder
Jesse Hall is the President and Founder of Bows for Battle, a Wisconsin nonprofit
dedicated to helping veterans reconnect with the outdoors, rediscover camaraderie, and
find renewed purpose through archery. A U.S. Army veteran, Jesse's passion for the
organization grew from his own journey after military service, including the work of
moving through PTSD and learning firsthand how important the right support system,
positive outlets, and a sense of purpose can be.
For Jesse, archery and the outdoors became more than hobbies. They offered focus,
fellowship, and a place to step away from the noise for a while. After years of
supporting larger veteran causes, he wanted to create something more personal—an
organization where the impact could be seen at the individual veteran level and where
relationships continued long after equipment was handed over. That vision became
Bows for Battle: putting archery equipment into veterans' hands while creating
opportunities for mentorship, friendship, and meaningful time together outdoors.
Outside of Bows for Battle, Jesse works as a Project Manager in the life-safety
industry, bringing years of leadership, technical experience, and project management to
both his professional career and his commitment to serving fellow veterans.

Drawing on his own journey after service, he built a veteran-first mission that puts
archery equipment in veterans' hands and creates lasting mentorship, friendship, and
time outdoors.
Dustin Langsdorf
Vice President
Dustin Langsdorf serves as Vice President of Bows for Battle and supports operations,
program development, and community partnerships. In his day job, he is an engineer at
Vortex Optics, bringing a problem-solving approach to the organization's work. A
passionate archer, Dustin finds that time outdoors with a bow is where he slows down,
refocuses, and draws closer to God through the quiet of nature. He enjoys shooting 3D
archery shoots in the summer and indoor archery leagues in the winter. He is committed
to helping veterans access safe, welcoming archery opportunities and to turning
community support into meaningful, lasting impact.
Dustin Langsdorf is Vice President of Bows for Battle and an engineer at Vortex Optics.
A passionate archer who finds peace and faith in the outdoors, he helps lead operations
and partnerships to expand safe, accessible archery opportunities for veterans.
Jason Turner
Board Member
Jason Turner served in the Wisconsin Army National Guard from 2004 to 2016, completing
three combat deployments—two to Iraq and one to Afghanistan—with missions
including convoy security, detainee operations, and HIMARS artillery fire support. He
finished his final deployment as a Staff Sergeant and HIMARS Launcher Chief with
A Battery, 1-121 Field Artillery. Today, Jason serves as Executive Director of Salute
the Troops, where his work focuses on supporting veterans through peer support,
advocacy, emergency assistance, community connection, and entrepreneurship. He helped
found Bows for Battle because he understands how important purpose, camaraderie, and
connection can be after military service and believes archery and the outdoors can give
veterans a healthy way to slow down, focus, challenge themselves, and reconnect with a
community that understands them.
Jason Turner is a combat veteran of the Wisconsin Army National Guard and Executive
Director of Salute the Troops. He helped found Bows for Battle to give veterans purpose,
camaraderie, and connection through archery and the outdoors.
